Accessibility Statement
A broken fridge is not less urgent because a website is hard to use. This page says what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us. Last updated July 2026.
What we are aiming at
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are not claiming to have fully met it. Anyone who tells you their site is perfectly compliant has usually not tested it.
What is in place
Headings run in a real order, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure rather than guesswork.
Body text is set at 19px with a line height that does not crowd, and text colours were chosen against their backgrounds rather than for looks alone.
Every booking button is at least 44 pixels tall, so it can be hit without precise aim.
Every image carries alt text describing what it shows.
The site works at 390 pixels wide with no sideways scrolling.
If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations and the pulsing status dot stop. Nothing on this site moves if you have asked it not to.
Every button is a real link, so keyboard navigation and voice control can reach it.
What we know is not right yet
The embedded Google Map is a third-party frame. We cannot control its keyboard behaviour or contrast. Everything the map shows is written out in text on the page as well, so nothing is only available inside the map.
The booking form is rendered by a third-party plugin. We have restyled it for contrast and tap size, but we have not audited every one of its error messages.
We have not run a full screen reader audit end to end. That is a real gap and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
If something gets in your way
Prefer not to use the booking form? Email query@michiganappliancesrepair.com and we will take your details that way. There is always a way to reach us that does not depend on this website.
Or email query@michiganappliancesrepair.com and tell us what happened, what page you were on and what you were using. We would rather fix it than have you work around it.
This page is a starting point, not legal advice. It has not been reviewed by an attorney, and any text in square brackets is a placeholder that must be completed before this site is used commercially. Questions: query@michiganappliancesrepair.com.
